MY DREAM

a beautiful girl in white long sleeve shirt sleeping

Ever changing, effervescent and vibrant….

Vague wandering fantasies

In a child’s fertile mind

Seen through innocent eyes

Devoid of practicality, unaware of scepticism

Born in a land that knows not the pinpricks of failure

Rising up in a bubble that hasn’t as yet burst

By the prodding criticism, voices tethering you down like gravity

The one thing that is seen by human eyes world over

Filling the days and nights

Of the denizens of both palaces and slums

Cutting through segregating barriers

Gliding across oceans of miseries

Reaching out with yearning hands

For a personal niche, a handful of joy

A shoulder it is to cry upon

Or think about and conceal

A smile that surpasses the brilliance

Of a thousand splendid suns

A Suction it is to raise us from

The depths of the ocean of tears

And make us like a lotus emerge

Stubborn, determined to bloom

To waft out love filled fragrance

Amidst our surroundings of murky grime!
